These Regulations revoke and re-enact with changes the Official Feed and Food Controls Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 (S.R. 2005 No. 574). The principal changes are that—the definitions of certain Regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council that are set out in Schedule 1 are updated to take account of certain Commission Regulations that enter into force on and apply from 11th January 2006 and which amend the Regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council or as the case may be affect the way they are to be read; andthe references to the Food Hygiene Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 (S.R. 2005 No. 356) are replaced with references to the Food Hygiene Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 (S.R. 2006 No. 3).
